My name is Marcus Delorme. I've lived in Edmonton since 2011, in Alberta Avenue and then Garneau. I work in logistics, not tourism, and this site is a hobby.

Why I started it

A friend from Halifax visited in 2021, spent two days at the mall and left thinking that was the city. That annoyed me more than it should have. I wrote a long email to the next visitor, and then the one after that, and by the spring of 2022 it was easier to put it on a page.

How it stays current

Every page carries the month it was last checked. Anything about hours, transit or prices gets re-verified twice a year. Festival dates move and I check them each spring, but organisers change plans after I publish, so confirm before you book flights.

What I get wrong

Restaurants close and I find out late. Bus routes get restructured. Twice I've described a trail as paved when it had been resurfaced with gravel. Corrections go straight in, with a note.

What this isn't

It isn't comprehensive and doesn't try to be. There's no list of every museum and no ranked top ten of anything. It's one person's account of a city he likes, aimed at someone with two days.
